Snow Joke - Airport Closures and Delays

Heavy snowfall has resulted in the disruption of services at some of our major UK airports. Airports affected include Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, East Midlands, Inverness and Luton.

Many flights at London Luton have been delayed or cancelled. Check-in has been temporarily suspended flights are not anticipated to resume until 11:30am. The inclement conditions have not only affected the airport, police have closed many roads in the surrounding area due to safety concerns. Anyone planning on travelling to the airport should check with your airline, as well as the transport and road conditions before setting off.

Birmingham airport has also been affected. Although the airport remains open, a number of flights have been delayed. It is recommended that you contact your airline to check if your flight has been affected.

Flights out of East Midlands airport are currently suspended. Passengers have been advised to check-in as usual, as no roads have been closed in the area. At Inverness airport there are no flights arriving or departing. Please check with your airline.

Bristol airport remains open but is experiencing a disruption of some services as a result of the adverse weather conditions. Delays are expected but customers are advised to check-in as normal. Some incoming flights have been diverted to other airports.

Cardiff airport is open and operating with only a minor disruption to services. Passengers due to depart are advised to check-in as normal and to contact their airline with any queries.
