Budget airline Ryanair is launching two new services from Leeds Bradford Airport in October 2008. The new flights will operate from Leeds Bradford to Girona Barcelona and Alicante, despite Ryanair cutting services from Dublin and Stansted.

The Leeds Bradford to Girona Barcelona will fly four times a week from its launch on October 1st 2008. The Alicante service comes into operation on October 28th and will operate thrice weekly.

Ryanair spokesperson Bridget Dowling stated "Ryanair are pleased to offer increased destination choice to Spain this winter offering additional capacity to two important Spanish cities for both business and leisure travellers".
