About Long Stay 1
Long Stay 1 is one of the cheapest car parks at East Midlands airport, provides a stress-free parking process and is just a 5-minute transfer away from the terminal. It's no surprise that it's a firm favourite with travellers.
Upon your arrival at Long Stay car park 1
Parking at Long Stay 1 couldn't be easier. Simply pull up to the entrance barrier and wait while the ANPR system reads your numberplate. The barriers should raise without any problems and you'll be free to drive into the car park, find an available space and park up. Top tip: make a note of where you've parked to save you time on your return. If you do have trouble getting past the entry barrier just press the 'assistance' button and a member a staff will be able to help. All that's left to do is the catch the transfer to the terminal.
Upon your return to East Midlands Airport
Once you've collected your luggage, head outside the terminal and hop on the transfer bus back to Long Stay 1. With this package you keep hold of your keys so you'll find your car exactly where you left it. Simply make your way to the exit barrier and head off home.

Transfers run every 10 minutes, take 5 minutes and are included in the cost.
Security
Long Stay 1 is equipped with all the top notch security features you'd expect from an official airport car park including regular patrols and 24 hour CCTV.
Directions to Long Stay car park 1
- From the north: leave the M1 at junction 24 and following the signs to the airport, take the A453 for approximately half a mile. Turn right into the airport.
- From the south: leave the M1 at junction 23a and follow the signs to the airport.
- From the west: follow A50 to junction 24 then follow the signs to East Midlands airport. Upon your arrival at the airport, Long Stay car parks are clearly signposted when entering the site at the main entrance. Turn left at the first roundabout and then follow signs to Long Stay 1.
Extra information about Long Stay car park 1
- The car park uses an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system, so make sure you enter the correct vehicle registration details when you make your booking. It's recommended to bring a copy of your booking confirmation with you in case you have any difficulties getting through the barrier.
- No motor homes, lorries, trailers or caravans are permitted even if multiple spaces are booked.
- The car park has designated disabled bays and transfer buses are wheelchair accessible. .
