Heathrow Airport

Heathrow terminal and transport information

  • 5 Terminals with parking to suit all customers
  • Easily accessible car parks
  • Hotels with parking available at the terminals and nearby

As the busiest airport, in both the UK and Europe, with two runways and five terminals, London Heathrow Airport sees a huge amount of people pass through its doors every year. The airport has the highest amount of international passenger traffic in the world, so it’s no wonder it's a hive of activity, no matter what time of day you happen to be there.

Like Gatwick Airport, the UK’s second largest airport, Heathrow Airport is located in the Greater London area, making it easily accessible by train and road.

Due to the size of Heathrow, you have to be certain on your flight information because how you get to the airport will depend on which terminal you are due to depart from. There are currently 5 terminals from which you could possibly fly.

Thankfully, you needn’t let the size of Heathrow airport alarm you, regardless of which terminal you fly from at London Heathrow, you can guarantee BCP will have a car park to suit your needs.

Not only can booking Heathrow Airport parking online and in advance with BCP save you a significant amount of money, we have also done the legwork for you by sourcing the best products available, meaning you don’t have to spend hours trawling the internet.

Getting to Heathrow by car

All of terminals at Heathrow Airport are easily accessible by road, from any direction. Each terminal is well sign posted. When you book with BCP, clear, precise and up-to-date directions are provided to the car park, and each product has a dedicated directions page so you can check out the car parks location before you book. The roads around Heathrow can obviously get very busy, especially during peak seasons, so it is advised to make sure you have allowed enough time.

Access to each of the terminals is as follows:

  • Terminals 1-3: M25 (J15) and M4 (J4)
  • These three terminals are located close to one another and are situated in the middle of all the airports perimeter.

  • Terminal 4: M25 (J14)

  • Terminal 5: M25 (J14)

The inter-terminal transfer between the central area of Heathrow airport (Terminals 1, 2 and 3) and Terminal 5 is by the Heathrow Express train service. It only takes minutes to connect passengers to each terminal. Terminal 4 is accessed by a free transfer bus from the stop at Central Heathrow (Terminals 1, 2 and 3) The service is free and is well signposted throughout Heathrow.

Dropping Off Passengers

If you are going to be dropping somebody at Heathrow airport you need to be clear on where you’re heading. Heathrow has specific 'Setting Down' lanes outside each of the terminals. It is a strictly no waiting zone so be sure to drop off and go as police and airport staff patrol the area.

Picking Up Passengers

There is no specific collection area for picking up passengers at Heathrow Airport. Cars picking up passengers are directed to the short stay car parks at each of the terminals, the locations of which are clearly signposted. It is advised not to use the drop off lanes to collect a passenger as the area is patrolled and fines are in place for those that do so.
