Make sure to remember a copy of your booking confirmation when you drive to the car park. On this you'll find a bar code which you need to scan at the entry barrier. Although, if there isn't a barcode, you can just slide the credit or debit card that you made the booking with into the slot in the machine. The barrier will lift and you can drive through to a parking space.

When you get back from your holiday

Just as you did to get into the car park, scan the barcode on your booking confirmation, or slot your credit or debit card into the machine to get the barrier to lift.

Security at Manchester airport long stay 1 and 3

Manchester Airport Long Stay car park for Terminals 1 and 3 holds the Park Mark award for secure parking. It has perimeter fencing and floodlighting, as well as regular security patrols and CCTV. Although the CCTV is monitored, it's not always recorded..

Transfers to Manchester airport

Transfers take just five minutes to get to the airport and run every ten minutes, 24-hour daily.

Directions to terminals 1 and 3 long stay car park

Leave the M56 at junction 5.

Keep to the right hand lane and follow the signposts for terminals 1 and 3.

You will see the Hilton hotel, followed quickly by Bewleys hotel, on your left hand side. Shortly afterwards you will reach a roundabout.

Take the first exit on this roundabout and go straight on at the next mini roundabout. This will take you directly to the entrance to the Long Stay car park for terminals 1 and 3.
